The 90's were a pivotal time for me. It was the decade I began playing guitar, and thus got deeper into music. This is my tribute to that era, particularly the genre known as "Alternative." For a brief moment, that alternative became the mainstream, before the suits gained control again, and before Napster and streaming effectively killed Rock music as a commercially viable genre. But many of these bands and songs remain timeless today. Indeed, several of them are now played on "Classic Rock" radio (Cue the "Want to feel old?" memes).

These nine tracks aren't necessarily my all-time favorites from the 90's, though some are. But mostly these are just some of my favorites that I felt I could sing well, and have played in solo and band shows over the years. I'm proud of my versions here, and it was fun revisiting all the nuances of the recordings, especially the bass parts, which I usually don't get a chance to play. I'd also like to thank my good friend and bandmate Rory Faciane for killing it on the drums for most of these tracks. His playing definitely lifts these songs much closer to the originals than I could have done on my own.
