about

The most biographical song on the album. I've moved past that point now, but this was pretty much 100% how I felt when I wrote this song, and I still think it's one of my best.

lyrics

Oh Lord I must be crazy
I quit my job and forgot to not get lazy
The past few years have sure been hazy
I don't feel too far from pushin up a daisy

Well I followed my dreams down
To the end of the road
But I all I found was an empty pot of gold

SOS... I've been livin in distress
It's too hard tryin to make a dollar outa 15 cents
I don't know when my life turned into such a mess
Can you hear me now?
I've been callin SOS

Lord knows I tried my heart out
I played every smoky bar across the new South
I've gone too far now there's no way out
I'll be walkin this road til it gets to dark in a shadow of a doubt

And I'll try to make my way
Goin down a lost highway
When I get there, I got nothin left to say

Chorus

Feel like I could drown in my own fear
Well I might need wings to get me outa here
But the water's high, up to the brim
Yeah I guess it's time for me to sink or swim

Solo

And I'll try to make my way
Into the beauty way
When I get there, this is all I'll have to say

Chorus
